Tampa Bay Moneyline -125
Tampa Bay has been in a bit of a funk lately losing 3 of its last 4 games. However, I’m buying the Lightning tonight. Here’s why.
- The Lightning are the defending Stanley Cup Champions. They are coming off an embarrassing shutout loss to Carolina. They will come back a lot sharper tonight.
- Carolina’s starting goaltender James Reimer has not been very sharp lately in spite of their team success. He has given up at least 3 goals in 8 straight games.
- If Tampa Bay can capitalize on Reimer’s shaky play early, they have a very good chance of winning the game.
San Jose Sharks ML +130
- San Jose is a nice value play at home versus a middle of the pack Wild team.
- This game really will be decided by how well goaltender Martin Jones plays tonight. He is 1-0 against the Wild on the season.
- Minnesota has only scored 4 power play goals this year. If San Jose can capitalize on 5×5, they could win this game.
